Kenneth L. Goodrich, II (Ken)
I return to Glading after having previously served as the Student Pastor for 3 years. Following those 3 years, I served at Fox Chase Presbyterian Church for a year as their Student Pastor.
My pastoral journey began at the 1st Presbyterian Church in Springfield Township, located in Flourtown, PA. I have been a member there for thirty-six years, serving as a layperson on various boards and committees. Basically, you might say, I was "a child of the church."
I am married to a wonderful and faithful person, Joan, whom I met in Youth Group at Flourtown Presbyterian thirty-six years ago. Joan is the Church Administrator at Flourtown. Joan grew up at the Cliveden and Mt. Airy Presbyterian churches before moving to Flourtown in the late 60's. Joan has an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education.
Joan and I have 3 children. Kenny, age 29, Bobby, age 27, and Alison, age 24. God has truly blessed us.
I once wanted to become an orthopedic surgeon, but Organic Chemistry did not agree with me. Instead, I attended Villanova University and received a B.A. in Economics. I received a Masters Degree in Credit and Financial Management from Dartmouth College, Tuck School of Business. Sunoco, Inc. has employed me for a little over 30 years where I work in their Treasury Credit organization.
Because I felt called by God to the pastoral ministry, I entered seminary. After five years of study, I earned a Masters of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia in May of 2009.
Oh, I almost forgot, I like the Phillies (that's why my blood is red, right?) and have a soft spot for the Detroit Tigers (my veins are blue, right?).
